On the home screen, OurGov gives you a simple way to start your exploration of Congress and all the news surrounding the legislative branch.  Clicking on any of the category links finds all the articles for the selection and switches to the document view so you can dive right in.

MEMBERS

Congressional members can be found quickly, with basic statistics as well as links to member news, committees, legislation and contributors on an overview page for each member.

COMMITTEES

All Committees in the Senate and House including Joint Congressional committees may be researched, including membership and associated legislation.

LEGISLATION

Senate and House legislation is listed along with overview information, including authors, backers, roll calls and associated committees.

NEWS

Follow the latest news about congressional happenings, conveniently sorted by member, chamber, state and more.

CONTRIBUTORS

This link lists major contributors to Congressional members. Here you can explore lists and graphs of institutions which fund election campaigns and whom they support.

LOCAL

Quickly find members and related data specific to your current location.

TODAY

Quickly find current congressional news, legislation and proceedings.

CURRENT

Every day OurGov is refreshed with links to current topics and documents that are pressing issues and in the news.  Clicking one of these links will list the articles available in all of the categories.

MY TOPICS

OurGov is based on searchable data.  When you have created a search that you want to easily retrieve, you can save it for quick access directly from the home page, or Favorites popup.

SEARCHING

The data that OurGov is built on is easily searchable.  Simply click on the magnifying glass in the header of the app and enter a search in the search field of the search popup.  You can narrow your search to a single category, or leave all categories selected to get results from all the data available in the app.
